Living With Anxiety

Hi guys,

Sorry I haven't been online lately I have had a lot going on personally lately which is why I'm writing this post for you all really.

I'm currently going through my first diagnosed relapse of anxiety. I say diagnosed because I have struggled with it since I suffered with depression and anxiety about 2 years ago now I think? But yeah this time the symptoms haven't gone away and the thoughts are progressively getting worse. I saw my doctor last night and he thought it was best I go back onto the medication I used to be on to alleviate those symptoms and thoughts so I can regain the control over them so I get better again!

This post is kind of just like a thing I might do regularly because it's easier to vent here and idk if my experiences can help just one person feel better or not alone etc then I'll be happy! :)

But yeah, today is day one on my meds again and it's gunna take a few weeks for them to settle down and work but this time I'm suffering from the side effects already and I have had a horrid headache all day that painkillers aren't even working. I have 0 appetite (although that may be from the bug I had last week) and idk I feel more hyper-sensitive and more on edge than before. Apparently that's just all part of adjusting and things are going to get worse before they get better. I don't really remember much from my first round of treatment cause of the depression so it's going to be really strange dealing with it this time round when it's just my anxiety playing up cause it'll affect my moods too when they're fine already so that is odd. Long as I can get calm again and not so stressy over everything and things as simple as locking the front door stops turning into me having a panic attack and worrying if I haven't done it aaall day!

So yeah, like I said this might become regular thing and it'd be really cool if you guys read it :)!

love and hugs xoxo

Ciaté Mini-Mani Month Review: Part 1

Hi guys!! Once again I apologise for the delay in any posts! Since I've started my new job I just haven't been keen on doing anything in my spare time really but I have had some time off over Christmas so I have this post, another and maybe a video all planned s I can maybe do them this week!

This post is going to be a review on the colours, top coats, glitters and caviars I have tried from the Ciaté Mini-Mani Month advent calendar.

First off I wore boudoir & one of the caviars (the name has eluded me and I can't get to the bottle to tell you I'm afraid! But as soon as I can, I will comment it if anyone would like to know!)

Sorry about the lighting I took it as soon as I had finished and I hadn't even tidied the edges! The red is a gorgeous colour and so glossy the compliments I had were amazing! I did struggle with the caviar but it was the first time I had ever used them so hopefully the next time I won't be so cautious and then they won't fall off so quickly!

Next I tried Serendipity,

The effect was aboslutely gorgeous! Sadly even with a base and top coat it peeled off very easily and I don't know why! So it didn't last long but was beautiful nonetheless! I don't know why I never took a better photo if I'm honest! Or if I did I can't find one now sadly. Such a beautiful colour!

Next I tried Amazing Gracie, a beautiful almost white pink colour.

This is 3 coats and it was still quite pale but it was still beautiful on. One coat gives a nice sheen to your nails and it looks really natural, perfect for a French manicure! I felt very feminine with this colour.

Last but not least! I am currently wearing Hopscotch, Snow Globe & Jingle Belle.
I apologise for the focus of this one! But I think this is one of my fav mani's I have ever done, at first I thought it was quite cluttered but it's really beautiful, especially when the foil bits hit the light and the glitter shimmers. The Jingle Belle may be a bit more noticeable on a lighter colour but it still looks beautiful and it's easier to use than the caviar!

I will slowly get around to trying all the colours and effects and I'll show you a few each time!
Hope you enjoyed and my review has been helpful! See you shortly! xo

Hi guys!

I am so sorry I haven't blogged for a while I have had a really hectic time of late. I have left 6th form and I am soon to be starting my first full time job on the 7th October so I am really excited but also pretty nervous!

I was planning to do a Summer Favourites video but unfortunately we have builders in to fix our crumbling bathroom so the noise disruption would be too much. But I will get round to doing that very soon :)

So today I have planned on doing a review of 3 products I bought over the summer. So without further ado!

Product 1: L'Oreal Matte Salt Spray.

I bought this a little while ago to take on holiday with me instead of using heat on it to style and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I am normally a fond lover of L'Oreal hair and makeup products but this must be a dud product. My hair is fine but I have used other salt sprays that seem to stay in my hair a lot better than this, it just falls out within seconds of me scrunching my hair. It hasn't got a very nice smell either and feels really harsh on your hair when you need to brush it out. It is cheap at £3.75 so maybe I should have expected it to not be so good at that price. I'm not going to re-buy this product.

Product 2: Rimmel Wake Me up Foundation & Concealer

I bought these two because I really needed a high street foundation and a good concealer. For about 2/3 years I've only been able to wear Clinique foundations due to very severe dermatitis, which luckily isn't so bad now, and I just started finding that the coverage wasn't very good and seemed to cake with layers. I was pleasantly surprised at how good these really are! I They are both shade Ivory but the concealer is a lot lighter than the foundation which I was shocked at but it isn't too dark for me but in winter I may need to add a bit of moisturiser to it. It gives a great coverage even with just one layer and you can barely see any imperfections or dark circles when the concealer is used along side it and even on its own. It is quite dewy but in natural light it's a really nice youthful look, but I have found that under like school lights (not 100% if they're fluorescent or not but I haven't really encountered them since I've left) it seems quite sparkly which obviously, you don't really want to be looking like Edward Cullen while in school or anywhere else for that matter, although I suppose it would be an ok side to the make-up if you were on a night out clubbing or something like that. Concealer is £5.49 and foundation £8.99 in Boots.

Product 3: Colossal Mascara by Maybelline

I actually bought the bottom one first which is their 'Smokey eye' one and it is literally THE best mascara I have ever tried! It leaves a great voluminous result and it doesn't clump one bit even when it's on it's last legs and last all day. The top one is then their original but in Waterproof and personally I don't think it's as good, it's quite 'wet' so your lashes seem to stick together and then it's really difficult to separate them to get a good finish, so I'm sort of mixing the two right now, Smokey Eye first and then once it's dry I use a coat of the waterproof to lock it all in and that seems to work slightly better for me. I am hoping to buy the Smokey Eye again or maybe try the Original Colossal but maybe not the Waterproof version.

So I hope I have managed to give you a good review of each product and you can take the information away and use it for yourself. As I said I will try and up date again soon and then once I start my job hopefully get at least 1 post or video up a week!

Thanks for reading! xoxo

Review: 30 Seconds To Mars Love Lust Faith+Dreams.

Hi guys!

I have been a fan of this band since about 2009 (around the same time I became a fan of Taylor Swift believe it or not). The first song I ever listened to of their was The Kill and looking back at that album (A Beautiful Lie, their second) to the music they're creating now... It's unreal and I am so glad to be a fan of theirs that has gone through this process with them... I am also finally getting to see them live in November yay me!

So on to the review!

Birth: Is a fantastic instrumental/vocal mini-track that has what siounds like an orchestra behind Leto's voice as well as the sensational percussion and guitars from Leto (Shannon) and Miličević.

Conquistador: Is a fiery opening track with the up tempo beat and insanely catchy lyrics. They have also kept a sort of crowd chant through-out this album but not to the extent they did in This Is War but it adds a brilliant effect, especially live.  They have really shone through this album with their lyrics and catchy instrument solo's. This was their second release.

Up In The Air: Their first single. I found it very similar to the This Is War material, so I quite like that they're continuing that type of genre although this album seems to have a bit more of an edge than T.I.W. I think it was a great first release as it tied the last album but it also makes you think what are they going to do next.. I think it's more of a not mainstream but a popular type track to get the public to read in more to the band. But I still adore it.

City of Angels: Is a very deep song in my opinion... Leto's vocals ooze through in a mellow tone in the verse then more raw in the chorus. I believe it's a song about their childhood due to a few lyrics. The bridge is also flawless. Definitely my top 3 off this album... The lyric 'One Life, One Love, Live' is definitely getting tattooed on me when I can decide where.

The Race: The strings intro is by far my fav intro especially with the beat that then kicks in. It's another catchy song with the crowd participation... but I'm not 100% keen on this... I just can't seem to get into it until 'I'm not running no not running, I'm not running no not running...' part.... then that's until the outro...

End of All Days: A slower more ballad type track. Piano is excellent in this song. I absolutely adore this track. In my top 3 definitely. The lyrics are just perfect I can't really get over them. I'm not very big on the faith idea myself (I kinda think this song addresses it mostly), but I think the purity of the lines when Leto is singing 'All we need is faith..' is amazing and it actually made me pause. He is just so raw in this song and I am just in love.

Pyres of Varanasi: Another strings intro which is a lot darker to start with but then a beat kicks in so it acts like a base almost and it builds up adding tension to the song. But otherwise I don't think I am very keen on it... I think it just acted as a break up to the songs and then had the key term 'Faith'.

Bright Lights: Adds a lighter edge to the album after a few darker songs.. The lyrics are a brilliant creation once again. I am absolutely gutted this isn't on their tour! It's not my top 3 but it's definitely one of my fav's, due to the lyrics. It sounds a bit 80's to me with the synthesizer sound..

Do or die: My other top 3! It's quite upbeat and I adore the lyrics and beats vary as well as Leto's vocals which just keeps you wanting more! Again it's a kind of crowd participation and it is going to be so exciting on tour. I just love this track and can't really put it all in to words.

Convergence:  The xylophone (I think...) instrumental is just simplistic and pure and one of the best intro's ever especially when the notes off the guitar and beats off the drum kick in slowly... definitely a good progressive instrumental.

Northern Lights: This reminds me of T.I.W a lot and I'm not 100% sure why but it just does. But it is a brilliant track and just missed out on my top 3... so I guess it's my 4th... it's just powerful and raw and wow... I really want to know how they do this with the lyrics and music. I really do think they're amazing at what they do.

Depuis le Début: The short lyrics involved are just flawless I couldn't ask for a better outro. The music again is just masterful, strings, techno.. it has it all and the music box at the end, I had the same song in a fairy trinket box so I screamed slightly the first time I heard it. I am a bit gutted that they aren't closing with it but they are closing on Up In The Air so I assume they want you to leave completely buzzing....

Sorry it is so long winded I just really wanted to do this well!
Hope you all enjoyed and I will post again soon,
Byee! xo

First post!

Hi there!

Well this is a bit of information about me here and why I have decided to create a blog and what will be on here :)

1: Me!

I am an 18 year old student studying Law, English Literature and Language aaand Psychology in 6th Form, waiting for my A.S Results and hoping to finally get on to A2 studies.

I live at home with my parents Jo & Andy with our pet dog Manny.  I have 0 siblings, which has its pro's and con's.

I am hoping to go on to University, have a few options already with a mixture of Law and English courses but may change soon.. oops.

2: Why have a blog? What will I post?

Well, this mainly came from me wanting to meet new people and to have somewhere that's a little funky (I have a tumblr but that's all hap hazard and reblogs take over etc...). I can be more creative with a blog and be more original in what I post!

I like to write so it may be where I can post stories or something but I can also blog about my daily life, reviews of make-up/nail varnish, books, TV shows etc that can all appeal to a wide audience!

So I think that's it and I'll look forward to sharing my posts with the world of Blogger!
